1. 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel observed all over the country yesterday as National Unity Day.

2. The President Smt Droupadi Murmu paid floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 150th birth anniversary at his statue in Patel Chowk, New Delhi.

3. On the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla today interacted with over 600 students from across the country who participated in the programme Know Your Leader in New Delhi.

2. A seven-month fishing ban has come into effect in the Gahirmatha marine sanctuary of Odisha’s Kendrapada district from November 1 to May 31 to safeguard endangered Olive Ridley sea turtles during their annual mating and nesting season.

3. Hyderabad Traffic police in tri-commissionerates have decided to take strict action against vehicle owners — including private travel bus operators and two-wheeler riders — who have accumulated more than 10 pending traffic challans. Officials said such vehicles would be seized immediately, and police teams would visit the owners’ residences to collect the dues.

1. The Delhi High Court Thursday refused to entertain two petitions seeking review of the certification granted by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to The Taj Story starring actor Paresh Rawal. The petitioners claimed that the movie is based on “fabricated facts and… a particular propaganda for spreading a manipulated history by showing misinformation” about the Taj Mahal.

2. Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ has completely captured the year 2025. The film has been a worldwide success, collecting over Rs. 850 crores so far. The film, which has been creating records since its release, has become the biggest hit in the history of Indian cinema. The overwhelming support from the fans is a major reason for its success.

3. ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ has hit the theaters today on October 31, 2025. The makers have merged the previous two films into one and released the remastered version. And now, its director, SS Rajamouli, has confirmed another ‘Baahubali’ film in a recent interview.

He said, “This is not ‘Baahubali 3’, but a continuation of that world. We have made a 3D animated film called ‘Baahubali: The Eternal War’. Its teaser will be released during the intermission of ‘Baahubali: The Epic’.”

1. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reached Malaysia for a two-day visit to Kuala Lumpur to attend the 12th ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting-Plus (ADMM-Plus) on 30 Oct.

Shri Rajnath Singh has underlined that maritime security is a central focus of India-ASEAN engagement. He commended ASEAN member states for agreeing to the second edition of the ASEAN-India Maritime Exercise.

2. *Exercise Astra Shakti*: India’s High-Altitude Firepower and Night-Warfare Dominance in Ladakh: The Indian Army conducted Exercise Astra Shakti in the icy heights of Ladakh, showcasing long-range precision artillery strikes, swarm drone operations, counter-UAV systems, and special forces missions under extreme conditions.

3. *India Expands Tri-Services Exercise Zone Deep into Arabian Sea for 24-Hour Drills*: India has significantly expanded the tri-services exercise zone, with the new NOTAM stretching deep into the Arabian Sea for a 24-hour exercise scheduled on November 4th and 5th, 2025.

2. Afghanistan’s Acting Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani warned Pakistan that any act of aggression would not be tolerated by Kabul.

4. The UN Security Council is very worried about the increasing violence in and around El Fasher in Sudan. They strongly condemned the attack by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the terrible harm it is doing to people living there.

5. Pakistan, at least 13 people, including two police officials, were injured in a grenade attack targeting a police mobile in Dera Murad Jamali.

When Zimbabwe was hit by hyperinflation, in 2008, prices rose as much as 231,000,000% in a single year. Imagine, a sweet which cost one Zimbabwe dollar before the inflation would have cost 231m Zimbabwean dollars a year later.
