TET 2025 & 2nd SLST 2025 for recruitment of Special Education Teachers

NOTICE

Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2025 and 1st SLST 2025 for Recruitment of Special Education Teachers in Government Aided /Sponsored High /Higher Secondary Schools

In compliance with the direction passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India on 07.03.2025 in Rajneesh Pandey and Ors. -vs- Union of India & Ors. WP(C) 132 of 2016, the West Bengal Central School Service Commission will hold the TET 2025 for recruitment of Special Education Teachers in Government Aided/Sponsored Schools. These teacher shall have the duty to cater to the needs of students with Special Needs enrolled in Upper Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary Level in Government Aided /Sponsored Schools in West Bengal in so far as their Special needs are concerned.

Indicative number of vacancies : 1941

In terms of the West Bengal School Service Commission (Recruitment of Persons for Appointment to the posts of Special Education Teachers) Rules 2024, the West Bengal Central School Service Commission shall take option from the candidates who already hold valid TET Certificate whether such candidates are willing to appear in the selection process on the basis of their earlier TET Certificate or otherwise.

Candidates can apply only online on the Commission’s website on and from 01.09.2025 (05:00 pm) to 24.09.2025 (05:00 pm) and fees may be deposited up to 24.09.2025 (11:59 pm)
