Interest Rate on SDRF and SDMF for 2023-2024

  • Interest Rate on SDRF and SDMF for 2023-2024

    Governor is pleased to decide that the rate of Interest on State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) and State Disaster Mitigation Fund (SDMF) will be 8.50% per annum for the financial year 2023-2024.

    Governor is pleased to decide that the rate of Interest on State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) and State Disaster Mitigation Fund (SDMF) will be 7.53% per annum for the financial year 2022-2023.

  • Constitution of State Disaster Mitigation Fund (SDMF)

    State Disaster Mitigation Fund (SDMF) consists of 20 percent of the State Disaster Risk Management Fund (SDRMF). The balance 80 percent will go to the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF).

    Operational guidelines for the immediate payment of ex gratia at the rate of Rs. 50,000/- to the nearest kin of the deceased due to Covid-19.

    People lost at sea or river who have to be presumed dead due to sinking/capsize of boats/other vessels, where the bodies have not been recovered and chances of recovery of body within the State are remote due to accident in high seas or in inter-state/ international rivers.

    The aim of the West Bengal State Disaster Management Policy is to establish necessary systems, structures, programs, resources, capabilities and guiding principles for reducing disaster risks and preparing for and responding to disasters and threats of disasters.

  • SNEHER PARAS – Financial Assistance to Migrant Workers

    A financial assistance of one-time exgratia payment of Rs. 1,000/- will be provided under the scheme to such worker who is residents of West Bengal and who is stranded in other parts of the country due to lockdown because of Corona Virus (COVID-19).

  • Ex-Gratia in case of Death due to Natural Calamity/ Accidental Fire

    Ex-gratia grant @ 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) only in each death case, to the next-of-kin(s) of the person who was killed as a result of Natural Calamity like Flood, Cyclone, Earthquake, Tornade, Hailstorm, Lightning etc. and anything directly or indirectly resulting from Natural Calamity.
