House Loan facility is offered to the employees/ officers of the West Bengal Government under Housing Loan Scheme by different Nationalized Banks.
· Upper Cost Ceiling Limit to buy Flat by Employee
Governor is pleased to decide to abolish the upper cost ceiling limit for construction/ acquisition of house/ flat funded from all sources by the employees.
· Income Tax Treatment on Interest on House Building Advance
Interest on borrowed capital for House Building Advance would be on the basis of accrual of interest which would start running from the date of drawal of the advance.
· Interest Rate on Loans and Advances for 2015-2016
Rates of interest on loans and advances to Government Servants, etc. for the year 2015-2016. No. 331-FB dated 17.06.2016. House Building Advance upto 50k @6%.
· Apply for New Town Project under Akanksha Housing Scheme
Last Date of ONLINE application: 29.02.2016. Application Money: 25000/-, Last date of depositing the application money: 02.03.2016. Mode of Payment: By cash through Bank of Baroda.
· Self Financing Housing Scheme for Senior Level IAS Officers
Self Financing Housing scheme for senior level IAS Officers of the State Cadre similar to that of the West Bengal Government Servants and Policeman working for this State.
· Interest Rate on Loans and Advances for 2014-2015
Rate of Interest for Other Advances (i.e. advances in connection with marriage, illness, etc. and advances for other purposes) including passage advance is 5.5% per annum.
· Housing Loan Scheme at United Bank of India – Interest Rate
Housing Loan Scheme for the employees of Government of West Bengal in association with United Bank of India (UBI) under tie-up arrangement – Rate of interest with immediate effect.
· ARENA Flats for Minority: Application Money
The last date for issue of Application Form for 53 nos. 2BHK/3BHK flats is extended upto 24.06.2014. The last date for submission of Application Form is also extended upto 02.07.2014. The Application Money to be submitted alongwith the Application Form has been revised to Rs. 3 Lakh only.
· Allotment of 2BHK/ 3 BHK Apartment for Minority
A person belonging to a Minority Community (i.e either Muslim or Christian or Sikh or Buddhist or Parsi or Jain) intending to acquire an Apartment will have to apply in the prescribed Application Form contained in the Application Kit.
· Interest Rate on Loans and Advances for 2013-2014
Governor has been pleased to fix the following rates of interest on loans and advances taken by Government Servants during the year 2013-2014 as follows:
· AKANKSHA – New House Building Loan Scheme
Governor has been pleased to decide to introduce a new scheme of House Building Loan to the State Government Employees named “AKANKSHA” with a provision of Rs. 100 Cr.
· Interest Rate on Loans and Advances for 2012-2013
(i) Up to Rs. 50,000/- ………… 6% (ii) Up to Rs. 1,50,000/- ………… 7.5% (iii) Up to Rs. 5,00,000/- ………… 9% (iv) Up to Rs. 7,50,000/- ………… 9.5%
· Rate of Interest – House Building Loan at UBI

The Governor has been pleased to Fix the following rates of interest on loans taken by Government Servants during the year 2011-2012 as follows:

Governor has been pleased to accord sanction to introduce the fixed rate of interest in the Housing Loan Scheme for employees of Govt. of West Bengal for a period of one year with effect from 01.07.2010 in the following manner as prescribed by the WBSCB Ltd.
· Housing Loan Scheme with UBI – Rate of Interest
Housing Loan Scheme for the Employees of the Government of West Bengal in association with the United Bank of India under tie-up arrangement – Interest rate.
· Housing Loan Scheme – Rate of Interest at UBI
Housing Loan Scheme for the Employees of the Govt. of West Bengal in association with United Bank of India- Special offer for the period ending 31.03.2010 and further period w.e.f. 01.04.10 to 07.11.10.
· Further House Building Loan from Nationalized Bank
Housing Loan Scheme for the employees of the Government of West Bengal in association with the United Bank of India & West Bengal State Co-operative Bank Ltd.
· Housing Loan – West Bengal Govt. Employees
After full repayment of the Housing Loan along with interest accrued thereon, Bank will return all requisite papers and Deeds/ Agreement duly mortgaged and deposited with them immediately along with complete loan recovery certificate.
· Housing Loan for West Bengal Govt. Employee
The property being financed by the bank shall be placed under equitable mortgage by deposit of title deeds with the bank. Agreement deed for purchase of flat under construction, in original, shall be deposited to the bank before receiving loan.

For purchase of land and construction of residential house thereon; For construction of residential house on land in name of the employee; For purchase of a ready built house/ flat (old/ new); For purchase of a flat under construction;
