Managing Committee
There will be a Secretary of the Managing Committee who shall be appointed by the Director of School Education, West Bengal from the members of the Committee.
· Extension of Tenure of Governing Bodies of Govt-aided Colleges, 2024
To extend the tenure of Governing Bodies, of Government-aided Colleges in Bengal, whose tenure is likely to be expired within 30th June, 2023 or within next 06 (six) months beyond 30th June, 2023 till 31st December 2023.
· Extension of Tenure of Managing Committee in Schools upto 15.07.2023
It is hereby notified that the tenure of Managing Committee/ Ad-hoc Committee/ Organising Committee/ Administrator is extended upto 15/07/2023.
· Extension of Tenure of Governing Bodies of Govt-aided Colleges, 2023
Tenure of several Governing Bodies of the Government-aided Colleges under the control of Higher Education Department in the State of West Bengal are going to expire on/after 31st December, 2022.

Headmaster or Teacher-in-Charge in every school will constitute a Student Safety and Security Monitoring Committee (SSMC) with following members and will convene its meeting bi-monthly;

Records of category “A” are of utmost importance for administrative purposes of the institution or which are of historical importance.
· Extension of Joining Time of Headmaster/ Headmistress
Where incumbent himself/herself happens to be the Headmaster/ Headmistress of a school and there is an absence of Managing Committee/ Administrator, the D.I. of Schools may release the incumbent subject to post facto approval of the Administrator/ Managing Committee, as and when appointed.
· Postponement of Managing Committee Election in Madrasah
Postponement of Election for Constitution/ Reconstitution of the Managing Committee/ Ad-hoc committee/ Organizing Committee/ Administrator up to 23.07.2019 of Recognised Junior High, High and Senior Madrasah in view of ensuing Parliamentary Election 2019.
· Guideline for Ensuring Safety and Security of Students in Schools
Age-appropriate discussion with students by the teachers should be encourage to make students aware of there safety needs, precaution to be taken and to make deference between good or bad touch/ conversation.
· Management of Recognized Non Govt Institutions Rules, 1969 – Amendment
Powers and duties of Committee/ Administrator/ Head of Institution/ Assistant Headmaster/ Headmistress of a Recognized Non-Govt Aided/ Unaided Institution.
· Management of Sponsored Institutions Rules, 1972 – Amendment
Powers and duties of Committee or Administrator of an institution. Powers and duties of Assistant Headmaster or Mistress or Head of an Institution.
· Extension of Recognition of Madrasahs
Madrasahs which are enjoying extension of recognition shall have to apply afresh for further extension along with documents and deposit of extension fees.
· Rules of Management of Recognized Independent Higher Secondary Institutions, 1996
Rules of Management of Recognized Independent Higher Secondary Institutions, 1996 is made as per Section 40 of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education Act, 1975.
· Extension of Tenure of Managing Committee in Madrasah, 2017
Extension of the tenure of Managing Committees/ Ad hoc Committees/ Administrators of non-Govt. Junior High, High and Senior Madrasahs, 2017.
· Formation of M.C. postponed due to ensuing Election, 2016
Postponement of Election for Constitution /Reconstitution of the Managing Committee of all Recognized Non-Govt. Secondary Schools and extension of the tenure in view of ensuing Assembly Election, 2016.

Extension of the tenure of Managing Committees/ Ad hoc Committees/ Administrators of non-Govt. Junior High, High and Senior Madrasahs (aided & unaided) recognized by WBBME.

Managing Committee of Kolkata Day Student’s Home, Day Student’s Home for Girls, Kolkata and Shri Ramakrishna Day Student’s Home and such other Day student’s Home receiving periodical grants from the State Government.
· Constitution of Managing Committee of Sponsored schools
It was instructed to the Commissioner of School Education so that no non-graduate person may be nominated as President or PIE but it is reported and some court cases also instituted where such violation has beer, occurred.

Extension of the tenure of Managing Committees/ Ad hoc Committees/ Administrators of non-Govt. Junior High, High and Senior Madrasahs (aided & unaided) recognized by West Bengal Board of Madrasah Education.

The term of the Administrator of all the concerned Govt. Sponsored Schools are extended for a further period till the regular Managing Committee of all the concerned Sponsored Schools will be constituted.

Governor is pleased to decide adoption of computerised accounting system with the need of transparency in fund management related to all Government/ Government-aided Colleges of this State.

An employee of the institution who is also a guardian, or founder shall be entitled to have his name registered as a guardian or as a founder, but shall not be eligible to stand for election.
