| According ROPA-2019, the House Rent Allowance (H.R.A) admissible to employees shall be 12% of his/her revised Basic Pay or Pay Matrix with effect from 1st January 2020, subject to maximum of Rs. 12,000/- (Rupees Twelve thousand only) per month. The celling of House Rent Allowance (H.R.A) drawn by Husband and Wife together shall be raised to Rs.12,000 /- per month. The existing term and condition for drawing House Rant Allowance shall continue to apply. |
| If a State Government employee whose Spouse (Husband / Wife) is working in a private Institution or State Government / Sponsored/ Aided Educational Institution /Board /Corporation/ Statutory Body/ Autonomous Body /Other agencies or other Instrumentalities of the State which is/are wholly or substantially owned and /or controlled by the Government, where House Rent Allowance (H.R.A) is allowed as a separate element, the House Rent Allowance (H.R.A) of the spouse (Husband / Wife) shall be taken into account, then the upper limit of total House Rent Allowance (H.R.A) shall not be exceed Rs. 12,000 /- (Rupees Twelve thousand only). |
