Sub: Clarification regarding interim relief to the State Government Employees.

The undersigned is directed to refer his Memo. No. 518/Estt dated 08-06-2016 seeking clarification, if revised Band Pay after fixation of pay on non-functional promotion on 1st July on the basis of option for such promotion between 2nd January and 1st July will be taken into account for calculation of Interim Relief.

In this connection attention is invited to clause (d) of FD No. 2926-F (P) dt. 2-6-16 and accordingly the reply is in the negative.

Undersigned is further to directed to make it clear that calculation will be on the basis of normal increment allowed in the lower post as admissible on 1st July and not on the basis of Band Pay arrived after fixation on promotion.
