Child tracking means tracking students who absent themselves from schools by visiting their houses and meeting their family and trying to bring them back to school.

    • Para Teachers – 5 Working Days and 20 Classes a Week

      No of periods in school routine shall not exceed 20 in 5 days of a week where a para teacher attends school. However, stop gap classes may be allotted to para teachers as well under unavoidable circumstances.

    • D.El.Ed of Para/ Contractual Teachers, Teaching Staff of MSKs, SSKs

      Framing of programme of training (D.El. Ed) of Para/Contractual teachers, teaching staff of MSKs, SSKs under Panchayat and M.A & M.E departments and Para-Teachers through ODL mode under West Bengal Board of Primary Education.

    • Enhancement of Qualification of Para Teachers

      Acquiring of higher academic qualification (up to HS or +2 level with at least 50 percent marks) is allowed through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) Mode only, without hampering normal duties as a para-teacher in the school.

    • Maternity Leave of Contractual Employees of PBSSM

      The period of maternity leave to all contractual employees under PBSSM is extended from 135 days to 180 days with effect from the date of issue of this order No. 165-SE dated 19.02.2013.

      Supplementary list of approved books for school library at Primary level under SSA – Approved by State Book Review Committee of PBSSM, West Bengal Published by PASCHIM BANGA SARVA SHIKSHA MISSION (PBSSM).

      A Comprehensive Policy Outline prepared in consultation with Expert Committee on School Education has been finalized by the Government for curriculum adaptation for ensuring implementation of the same throughout the State.

        Enhancement of remuneration of different contractual employees of Paschim Banga Sarva Shiksha Mission in State Project Office, District Project Office and Circle Level Resource Centre.

      • Revised Remuneration of Contractual Employee under SSA

        On attaining 60 years of age or winding up of this project the Para teachers or other contractual employee as shown above will be paid an exgratia Retirement Honorarium of Rs. 1 (One) Lakh only on lump sum basis.

      • Duties, Remuneration and Leave of Para Teacher in West Bengal

        Para teachers will perform three major duties – (a) Remedial teaching (b) Child tracking (c) Teaching Learning Material (TLM) preparation for activity based learning in School.

      • Date of Engagement as VRP of Para Teachers

        Length of engagement of re-designated para-teachers for the purpose of granting the benefit of payment of Rs. 1 lakh after attaining the age of 60 years.

      • Voluntary Resource Persons redesignated as Para Teacher

        The nature of the service conditions of those presently working as VRPs redesignated as Primary level Para Teachers in Govt. aided primary Schools will be at par.
