All offices under the Government of West Bengal will be closed at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, the 17th day of September, 2014 on account of celebration of Vishwakarma Puja.
6th September, 2014 has been declared as Sectional Holiday on account of ‘Karam Puja’ for the employees belonging to Tribal communities.
All offices under the Government of West Bengal will be closed at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, the 1st day of July, 2014 on account of the Birth Day of Late Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, Ex-Chief Minister of West Bengal.
Due to extreme hot conditions prevailing in the State it has been decided that classes will remain suspended in all aided and unaided Madrasahs from 16th june, 2014 to 25th June, 2014. During this period admission process will continue as per schedule in Higher Secondary Madrasahs.

Due to extreme hot conditions prevailing in the State it has been decided that classes will remain suspended in all Government, Government Sponsored and Non-Government aided schools (Primary to Higher Secondary) from 16.06.2014 to 25.06.2014.
In view of celebration of JAMAI SASTHI all over the state the Governor has been pleased to declare that all offices under the Government of West Bengal shall be closed at 2.00 p.m on Wednesday, the 4th June 2014.

Because of the prevailing heat wave it has been decided to approve the proposals of the Boards to reschedule the summer vacation which will now start from 2nd May, 2014 and end on 31st May, 2014.

Governor is pleased to notify the 17th March, 2014, day after Doljatra (on 16th March, 2014), as a holiday in all the offices under the Government of West Bengal.
