• Dearness Allowance/ Relief @ 10% of Basic Pay w.e.f. January, 2024

  Grant of Dearness Allowance to State Government Employees and the employees of Government aided Educational Institutions, employees of Statutory Bodies, Government Undertakings, Panchayats including Panchayat Karmee, Municipal Corporations/ Municipalities, Local Bodies etc. and also Dearness Relief to the Pensioners/ Family Pensioners.

• Grant of Dearness Allowance to Employees of Colleges wef March, 2023

  Grant of Dearness Allowance to the employees of State-aided Non-Government Colleges and also Dearness Relief to the Pensioners/ Family Pensioners of State-aided Non-Government Colleges of West Bengal with effect from 01.03.2023.

• Dearness Allowance/ Relief @ 6% of Basic Pay w.e.f. March, 2023

  Governor has been pleased to decide that the State Government employees shall draw Dearness Allowance @ 6% of basic pay w.e.f. 01/03/2023.

• Clarification 3 of West Bengal Services ROPA Rules, 2019

  After careful consideration of the cases, it is felt necessary to modify Illustration I of clarification at Sl. No. 3 of Finance Department Memorandum No. 6471-F(P2) dated 02.12.2019.

• Clarification 2 of West Bengal Services ROPA Rules, 2019

  Certain instances of irregularity in fixation of pay on promotion to a post within the period of probation in the respective lower post have come to the notice of the Government.

• Grant of Dearness Allowance to Employees of Colleges wef Jan, 2021

  Grant of Dearness Allowance to the employees of Non-Govt. Educational Institutions and other Govt. Aided/ Sponsored Organizations with effect from 1st January 2021.

• Ceiling on two Family Pensions admissible to Children of deceased Govt Employee

  The existing maximum limit at the enhanced rate of Rs. 12,747/- per month introduced with effect from 01.04.2008 be raised to Rs. 32,760/- only per month.

• Medical Relief in favour of Pensioners/ Family Pensioners of HED

  Where the serving employees of aided/ sponsored educational institutions are in receipt of Medical Allowance of Rs. 500/- per month w.e.f. 01.01.2020, their retired counterparts (pensioners/ family pensioners) are also entitled to the same.

• Conveyance Allowance to Handicapped Employees of Colleges

  Conveyance Allowance to the blind and orthopedically handicapped teaching and non-teaching employees of the Govt-aided-colleges in the State.

• Raising of Income Ceiling for Entitlement of Family Pension

  Governor has been pleased to raise the Income Ceiling of mother/ father and unmarried/ widowed/ divorced daughter for entitlement of family pension to Rs. 9000/- only per month.

• ROPA, 2019 for Employees of Panchayat Raj Institution

  Revision of Pay and Allowance of the employees of the Panchayat Raj Institution of this State following West Bengal Service (Revision of Pay and Allowance) Rules, 2019.

• Consolidation of Restored Portion of Pro-rata Pension (ROPA, 2019)

  The amount of Pro-rata pension already restored shall be further consolidated w.e.f. 01.01.2020 or from the date on which the amount is restorable whichever is later, by multiplying with 2.57.

• Revision of Pension/ Family Pension (Post-01.01.2016) under SED

  Revision of pension/ family pension, gratuity and commutation of pension of post 01.01.2016 pensioners implementation of the Government decision on the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission.

• Revision of Pension/ Family Pension (Pre-01.01.2016) under SED

  Revision of pension/ family pension of Pre-01.01.2016 Pensioners/ Family Pensioners implementation of the Government decision on the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission.

• West Bengal Services (ROPA), 2019 under School Education

  Governor has been pleased to direct that the date of effect of the revised pay structure, the manner of fixation of pay in the revised pay structure and other conditions of service of the employees under School Education Department.

• Revision of Pension (Pre-01.01.2016) of Non-Teaching Staffs of Non-Govt. Colleges

  Revision of pension/ family pension of Pre-01.01.2016 Pensioners/ Family Pensioners in respect of non-teaching employees of Non-Government Colleges, Day Students Homes and employees of West Bengal College Service Commission.

• Revised Guidelines for Revision of Pension under ROPA, 2019

  Pension Sanctioning Authority shall fix the revised Pay as per WBS (ROPA) Rules, 2019 and authenticate the pay fixation particulars in the Service book. Duly updated Service book, IPF documents, attested photocopy of Annexures shall be sent to A.G (A&E) W.B.

• ROPA, 2019 for Employees of WBBSE/ WBBME/ WBCHSE/ Universities etc.

  Non-teaching employees of all State-aided Universities; Employees of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education; Employees of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education; Employees of West Bengal Board of Madrasah Education; Employees of West Bengal Council of Rabindra Open Schooling.

• Sanction and Disbursement of post 01.01.2016 Pensioners

  Introduction of Revised Modalities of Sanction and disbursement of Revised Pension/ Family Pension/ Gratuity/ Commuted Value of Pension of Post- 01.01.2016 Pensioners.

• Pension/ Family Pension/ Gratuity and Commutation

  Who shall draw and disburse the Revised Gratuity/ Additional Commuted Value of Pension of the State Government employees who retired on or after 01.01.2016 and in whose case PPO has already been issued by AG (A&E) W.B.
